Schmitz Luxembourg horse breeding business

Welcome to the Knauf Horse Breeding Company in Huldange

In the northern tip of Luxembourg, in Huldange in the rue de Stavelot, opposite the best-known restaurant K, a horse breeding facility has been built according to the latest findings.
The owners of the Knauf shopping centres in Pommerloch and Schmiede, the married couple Erny Schmitz-Knauf, commissioned AIP Horses&Homes / Roger Alker with the planning and the company Viebrock with the execution of the construction work.

The Luxembourg Riding Horse Breeders Association, Stud-Book du Cheval de Selle Luxembourgeois (SCSL), which has finally found a permanent home in Huldange, is also delighted with the Schmitz-Knauf couple.

The hall (65 x 25 m), as well as the outdoor area (90 x 35 m) and the accommodation in the existing boxes offer the best conditions for a licensing event.
The hall as well as the outdoor area are equipped with an Ebbe & Flut system.

Erny Schmitz will run local, i.e. Luxembourgish, horse breeding under the banner of the SCSL at the Knauf horse breeding farm in Huldange.
In addition to breeding (mares and foal rearing, performance shows, stallion licensing, sales events), competitive and recreational sports will also be promoted in the Knauf breeding facilities.
The restaurant opposite the riding facility is responsible for the culinary offerings.
Many thanks to Mrs. Emile Mentz for the pictures.
Welcome to Camelot Resort

From the accommodation of the horses over pasture and riding out possibilities up to the riding hall everything in the Camelot Resort is generously, friendly and stress-free for the attitude of the animals put on. So it is possible to use the entire Camelot Resort equestrian facility without crossing roads into a directly adjoining network of riding trails of over 30km in length, so that the horses are not exposed to unnecessary stress.

The bright and friendly designed stables are equipped with spacious Röwer & Rüb horse boxes, most of which have additional paddocks in front of them. Further paddocks are located right next to the stables, so that the horses also have enough freedom of movement in the paddocks during grazing times.

The outdoor riding arena has a riding dimension of 20m x 60m and thus provides optimal training conditions.
The indoor riding arena measures 25m x 60m.

The light air ridge running along the entire length of the hall, as well as the generously glazed long sides of the indoor riding arena (Viebrock indoor riding arena), provide the best training possibilities in daylight. To protect the joints, Peter Wernke’s hall floor is partly made of Mediterranean sand and is non-slip and elastic. A sprinkler system ensures a non-slip floor and dust-free air.
